lavie & belle is a people business. We are a small international team of individuals who share a passion for art and a desire to create a business that can make a difference to the lives of others.

Eva Michielin – company founder and Managing Director

Eva is the epitome of a modern European woman. Born in Germany and with a German passport, she mainly grew up in France. An accomplished business-woman, Eva spent more than 15 years working for a major global corporation, where she held senior management posts in Europe and Asia Pacific, and travelled extensively internationally.

Eva has always wanted to run her own business and has long been passionate about art. At the same time she also wanted to use her skills to make a difference to the lives of others.

The defining moment came during a business trip to India. “I was sitting in an air-conditioned car stuck in traffic and working on emails while en route to the office. Suddenly there was a young boy – a street kid – standing beside the car and looking at me through the window in this very special way, as if to say ‘what are you doing?’ It hit me like lightening. At that moment, I knew I had to do something to bring my three lifetime passions together and the seed for lavie & belle was sown.”

Anja Reitermann – Managing Director

Anja developed her business career via a series of international roles with several Fortune 500 companies, rising to the position of Vice President Corporate Affairs for a major US corporation with operations around the globe.

So being part of the start-up team for lavie & belle is quite a contrast for her but a great opportunity to build a new business from scratch and to use the skills she has acquired in her career so far in a very different context.

Anja was born in Germany but has lived the majority of her professional life in other European countries, including France, Spain and Austria. She is now based in the South of France.

“Having worked in corporate life for many years and learned a lot in the process I was looking for a change and a new challenge. I was very attracted by the idea of running a business that could make a tangible difference to the lives of others while selling high-quality products for our customers to enjoy.”

Christine Meves – Creative Director

Christine has extensive experience in corporate design. She grew up in Germany and studied communication-design in Aachen and Muenster. She also studied design at the academy of art and design in Offenbach.

She began her career at the advertising agencies RAC and Beaufort8, where she was responsible for building their Brand design practices. She currently works for incorporate communication & design in Bremen and Berlin where she has a senior position.

Christine combines her design and creative skills with her intuition for customer needs and passion for high quality and perfection. She has received several prestigious design awards.

For lavie & belle, Christine is responsible for all aspects of corporate and product design. “I am passionate about illustration and design. This together with the CHANGE 33 concept is my inspiration in working for lavie & belle.”

Fiona Alsop – Chief Editor

Fiona works as a freelance writer and editor for lavie & belle and is based in the UK. She has more than 25 years experience in corporate communication and has worked for many different international companies of all sizes.

Fiona has a very strong personal interest in art, literature and music and she volunteers for a number of charitable organizations.
